L’Ame Des Poètes

This new album released in November 2021 by NoMadMusic marks the long awaited meeting between Guillaume de Chassy and Elise Caron.

The singer has led the pianist into a world where strangeness, fantasy and melancholy come together. For the occasion, she summoned the delightful memories of songs embodied in their time by Danièle Darrieux, Suzy Delair, Charles Trénet and Yves Montand. Beyond styles, eras and places, these melodies rub shoulders with those of Schubert, Evans, Prokofiev and Frisell in the personal pantheon of Guillaume de Chassy.

Here he pays homage to them with Thomas Savy and Arnault Cuisinier, improvisers without borders like him and companions on so many adventures (notably with the voices of Natalie Dessay, Laurent Naouri and David Linx). "The Soul of the Poets" traces a melodic journey that carefree crosses the boundaries between Song, Jazz and Classical.
