Jimmy Felvia is a true lover of music and does not hesitate to take us on a journey through his rhythmic and harmonic research work, which he draws from the depths of himself and his roots. Traditional songs and drum rhythms, particularly Bèlè, form a basis for his work that can go in any direction. A kind of perpetual inner quest that goes through modal exploration, various rhythmic experiments and a singular writing where all instruments can expose the themes. All this mixed with different influences of classical and contemporary jazz! It is at the Baiser Salé that the pianist from Martinique will present the compositions from his third album live for the first time, accompanied by Michel Alibo (Manu Dibango, Sixun) on double bass, and Tilo Bertholo (Grégory Privat, Sly Johnson) on drums. #ReleaseParty
