The Parisian scene has always occupied a special place in the hearts of great American jazzmen, such as Sydney Bechet, Benny Goodman or Josephine Baker. The Collectif Paris Swing pays a vibrant tribute to the jazz of the 20s and 30s upset by the emergence of this new music. A reference in swing music in Paris, the Collective has forged a solid reputation by vibrating the walls of Parisian clubs such as the Caveau de la Huchette, the Bellevilloise or the Bal Blomet. On the program, the stride of Fats Waller, the flights of Sidney Bechet and Benny Goodman, not to mention Glenn Miller and Louis Armstrong. Freely inspired by swing, the Collective rediscovers the freshness and artistic creativity of those roaring twenties, where music and celebration were one. An explosive evening under the sign of syncope, rhythm and improvisation!
