The Murgier Ensemble represents the blend of different influences of its director and pianist, Pablo Murgier. The group, created in 2016, aims to express and explore new languages and sonorities from the very roots of chamber jazz music, avant-garde tango, and South American folk music. Given the different trajectories of its members, the Ensemble performs artistic chamber music without losing the power and freshness of popular music. With this group, Pablo has regularly played in the musical circuit in Buenos Aires and all over Argentina. Currently he is based in Paris and performs in venues and festivals throughout Europe, Russia and China. In February 2017, Ensemble Murgier was crowned winner at the First World of Tango Orchestras in Buenos Aires (Premios Tango Sin Fin) and in 2018, he was nominated for the PREMIOS GARDEL as Best New Artist.
