European Jazz Quartet

European jazz quartet is the name of the group founded by pianist Pierre-Antoine Chaffangeon and vocalist Monika Kabasele in 2019. The musicians share a love for composers such as Wayne Shorter, Michael Brecker, Herbie Hancock, and pay tribute to the modal jazz of the '60s and '90s. This music, often represented as instrumental music, takes different musical paths when interpreted by different instruments, in this case by a voice, instead of a saxophone, piano, double bass and drums. The group is completed with Léna Aubert on double bass and Jean Baptiste Loutte on drums.
