9:30pm-10:45pm: HENRI TEXIER TRIO « HETEROKLITE LOCKDOWN »

A true legend on the French and international jazz scenes, double bass player Henri Texier returns for his jubilee, crowning a career spanning fifty years. Relentlessly spearheading his many fresh and innovative musical adventures, the wandering musician always kept the audiences in admiration thanks to his delicate yet powerful touch, which mirrored his ever-modest personality. On January 28th, he released a new album  « Heteroklite lockdown » (his thirty-seventh as a frontman or co-frontman) alongside saxophonist Sébastien Texier and drummer Gautier Garrigue, rekindling with a trio formation that he had left behind some twenty years ago. Completed by three numbers from the great international repertoire « Besame Mucho », « Round About Midnight » and « What is this thing called love? », the album offers many new songs written by the three musicians. The trio will undoubtedly deliver a melodic, lyrical, groovy performance, the promise of a joyful evening.
