The Dirty Weegtimers

Every Sunday and Monday, la Rhumerie brings you together for a jazz evening with Alex Swing Events, thus reviving the tradition of St Germain des prés during the fifties, and offers a selection of rums and West Indian cuisine (surcharge + € 1 per order on concert days).

Tonight, Alex Swing Events presents The Dirty Ragtimers, who invite their favorite clarinet player, Mr. Bastien Weeger. After meeting at a Jam Session, Australian violinist and singer Heather Stewart and Parisian guitarist and singer Lucas Montagnier join forces to share their passion for popular American music from the first half of the 20th century: blues, ragtime, swing or even country music and create The Dirty Ratimers. Inspired by the music of the String/Jug Bands, their style results from a skilful mix of fingerpicking guitar, swing or Cajun violin and vocal harmonies, which they put at the service of a repertoire composed of standards and compositions...
