New Things Septet - Jazz des cinq continents
As part of the festival: Jazz des cinq continents 2022

Born from the joint impulse of professors and students of the jazz department of the Marseille Conservatory, the New Things Septet evokes the Afro-American artistic abundance of the dawn of the 60s, at the source of post-bop and free-jazz. Compositions by Roland Kirk, George Russell or Ornette Coleman are the ground for open and embodied improvisations from which emerge a modern and energetic sound.

An evening with the support of the Metropole Aix-Marseille-Provence, and the city of Carry-le-Rouet.

Fabien Ottones : keyboards, direction
Fabien Torres : trumpet
Léo Hubert : saxophone
Matthew Bumgardner : trombone
