Monday's Jam Moderated By Francois Constantin
Wynton Marsalis Special
At the Baiser Salé, we have known François Constantin and his jams for thirty years, so we might as well say that he has invited the entire French jazz scene to perform with him! He has made this weekly meeting an internationally known institution.
Wynton Marsalis: for the love of jazz and classical music
Wynton Marsalis is a renowned trumpeter who shines as much in his improvisations, his compositions and his commitment to jazz as in his interpretation of classical works. At only 22 years old, he is the first musician to win a Grammy Award in jazz and classical in the same year. He is the link between classical and jazz and still proves today that not choosing is sometimes good! Around François Constantin, the French-Australian pianist Daniel Gassin, the trumpeter Renaud Gensane, sideman of Véronique Sanson and Christophe Maé in particular and the double bass player William Brunard.
A concert set followed by two sets of improvised musical encounters where generosity, experience, energy and talent guarantee the incomparable atmosphere of the Monday night Jam Sessions!
