Shaï Maestro

Shaï Maestro, who first came to prominence with double bassist Avishaï Cohen, is now a major pianist on the international jazz scene. With his latest album – Human – he once again demonstrates his elegant, sensitive and powerful style as well as his high technical standards. With the exception of a Duke Ellington cover, Human contains only original pieces by the artist, who’s virtuosity leads us through a sophisticated maze of romantic melodies and repetitive loops. Around Shaï Maestro, three exceptional musicians contribute to the album: Israeli drummer Ofri Nemheya, Peruvian double bass player Jorge Roeder and American trumpeter Philip Dizack.
