Born in Philadelphia, Monique Thomas grew up listening to African-American music such as jazz, gospel and soul. She also started singing at an early age.
In 1998, after beginning her career in the New York scene and a few television shows, she moved to France where she continued to develop her own style.

Since Monique leads an international career with various and varied groups, performing on stage all over Europe & accompanying many renowned performers.

With her program “Lady Sings the Blues” she will make us relive the great voices of the Blues by evoking Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, Ether Waters & Dinah Washington.

Monique Thomas (vocals), Drew Davies (tenor saxophone), rest to follow …
