After a prestigious and eclectic career as a sideman with the most famous French stars (Céline Dion, Michel Sardou, JJ Goldman...) the Franco-Peruvian pianist, born in Toulon, unveils his own compositions. Accompanied by renowned musicians, Manu Guerrero invites us somewhere between the Andes and the Mediterranean. He grew up to the rhythms of the huayno, festejo, and marinera of Peru, and fell in love with jazz and Afro-Cuban music... Latin America and Afro-American jazz meet in his music and all these styles shape it.
After the success of his last album "Nuevo Mundo", Manu presents his new "Latin trio" composed of Thomas Delor on drums and Maurizio Congiu on double bass. Together, the trio interprets the pianist's compositions as well as a few gems from the jazz or Latin jazz repertoire, notably by Chick Corea.
A rhythmic, refined jazz with South American accents and North American roots. Quite a journey!
