#Jazzdedemain Speranza Galez & Nicolas Ruiz

In 2015, Speranza Galez (singer and producer) met Nicolàs Ruiz (guitarist, arranger and composer) at the Venezuelan University of the Arts where their first idea was born; that of a fusion between Venezuelan music and the language of jazz. By combining guitar and voice and accompanying other musicians, they create a music with the harmonic richness of jazz and different elements of world music.

For their second #JazzDeDemain residency date, the two artists present 'GAüD', the name given to Nicolàs Ruiz's musical identity. All the experiences that have challenged the guitarist musically and personally have resulted in a demanding repertoire that grooves with compound beats and typical jazz harmonies. With influences such as John Scofield, Pat Mattheney, Kamasi Whasington and especially Claude Debussy, GAüD offers well-crafted melodies that are nourished by the lyrics of Speranza Galez.

Created in 2012, the #JazzDeDemain slot has given rise to a series of monthly and bimonthly residencies, allowing young artists to experiment on stage, to hone a repertoire, while presenting it to the public. A promising and promising niche where creativity and emulsion have no limits. #BeCurious!
