Dayron Ortiz Y La Tropa

For Dayron Ortiz, the guitar is an extension of his body: "When I play on its strings, I enter a unique universe, and ideas begin to be born and take life. There is not a day that I stop playing the guitar. The feeling of my fingers running along its strings is something that cannot be explained. The guitar has become my language, my language, the opportunity to express myself with more fluidity and calm.

Throughout his career, Ortiz has worked with a variety of rock, rap, jazz and pop artists and bands. Among the artists he has shared the stage with are Doble Filo, Telmary y Habana Sana, Rochy, Dayramir González and Habana Entrance.

La Tropa. This is the name Dayron uses to present his group as a quartet: Gabriela Díaz on violin, Julio César González on bass, Armando Osuna on percussion, and himself on guitars.
