Alexis Valet, vibraphonist, explores a format dear to the legendary Bobby Hutcherson, a Piano-vibraphone-double bass-drums Quartet, ideal format for the rhythmic and melodic explorations of which he had the secret. Also a composer, he is inspired by the young American scene (Ambrose Akinmusire, Walter Smith ...), to bring a certain freshness to this formula. Bold improvisers and an inventive and solid rhythm of high flight (Tony Tixier, Nicolas Moreaux & Francesco Ciniglio) punctuate this beautiful colorful painting.
