Rising stars of the new French jazz scene, the musicians of the Abraham brotherhood combine their talents to deliver this first luminous and sincere album. They bring us into a rich universe at the crossroads of Caribbean cultures, jazz and classical music, carried by harmonies with impressionist accents, where the Creole dance flirts with french singing tradition and the mazurka meets the congas. The compositions, eloquent or hushed, but always deeply rooted in the African tradition in the African tradition, plunge us into their universes and their inner storms, always guided by a solar energy.
The First Born, Zacharie, is a bassist, Cynthia is a singer and Clélya, the youngest, is a pianist. Raised by music since their tender years, the Abraham siblings perfom with the utmost complicity. The drummer, Arnaud Dolmen, is completing perfectly the trio. They share a common vision on jazz and music: a call to improvement, to optimism, to open your mind, not without solid carribean roots ! Creole Jazz is expressed in all its diversity, with soulful inspirations in Gwoka music, swing, contemporary music and modern jazz into a rich, solary and truthful universe.
