The Bridge #2.9

Since 2013, The Bridge, a transatlantic network for jazz and creative music, has laid and consolidated the foundations of an authentic bridge between the French and American experimental scenes. For this new program, the team, faithful to its principles of 'interbreeding', has chosen to further expand its borders by integrating into a new small ensemble, the Chicagoan poet and singer of Nigerian origin, Ugochi Nwaogwugwu. On rhythms combining the pulsations of Afrobeat and neo soul, and carried by the lyrical and sophisticated countermelody of Julien Pontvianne and Sakina Abdou's saxophones, the powerful and sensual voice of Nwaogwugwu seizes all the memories of the Afro-diasporic community to propel them into our century.
