Jon Joubert Project : Space Is Silence

"After 5 years spent exploring the outer reaches of the universe in the space shuttle of the Fanfare XP of flutist Magic Malik, guitarist Jonathan Joubert, finally back on Earth, will present his new trio project, with a repertoire of original compositions and standards. He will be accompanied by Alexandre HERER (keyboard), Jiu GEBENHOLTZ (double bass) and Vincent SAUVE (drums).
"In the spirit of 21st century New York jazz, the project "Space is Silence", named after the Chinese painter Zao Wou-Ki, is the fruit of a decade of harmonic work (which gave rise to a full-fledged educational work), of time spent in the Fanfare XP, and of the more traditional influences that have marked the career of guitarist Jonathan Joubert. The repertoire, which tends to include more and more original compositions, will be punctuated by revisited and modernized standards.
