Multi-Grammy nominated, leading his Biggish Band at the legendary Minton's club, songwriter J.C. Hopkins is a New York jazz legend, having already collaborated with artists such as Norah Jones, Madeleine Peyroux, Elvis Costello and Willie Nelson. For his new album, he entrusted his songs to French pianist Jean-Baptiste Franc (world champion of stride piano, 2018) and Australian singer Melissa Lesnie. He travelled to Paris in February 2022 to produce the album, entitled 'The Wonderful Things to Come', at Studio Libretto, and this concert will mark one year on the dot since the recording of an album steeped in the golden age of jazz, resolutely romantic and poetically serene, with a hopeful outlook on the future.
