Raised in a family of musicians for three generations in Guadeloupe, Jean Philippe Fanfant feeds on very diverse influences and quickly develops a groove of his own. He is an ace in the Parisian studio sessions thanks to his precise and fine playing, and has participated in more than 400 albums. Jean-Philippe is convinced that music must be decompartmentalized and that musical genres must dialogue with each other; he has experienced this principle in his career, which he shares between variety music, notably with Julien Clerc, Touré Kunda, Angelique Kidjo, Maxime le Forestier, Bernard Lavilliers...

For this new edition of the festival #LesCaribéennesDeMai, the Guadeloupean drummer, also leader of his own quintet, presents at the Baiser Salé his musical creation "Since 1966" where he wants to find all the elements and people who have enamelled his rich journey. The album is a collection of all the influences of an artist at the crossroads. Jean-Philippe Fanfant invites his friends, those he has accompanied so often, to accompany him in return, sailing through sound space and time.

An international journey, without borders... all in music!
