The Ballet Of Fools

Ballet des Fous was born in 2021 from the meeting of three Brazilian musicians in Paris. From this combination emerged an original and unique sound that mixes influences from classical music, jazz and world music, but maintains its roots in the rich Brazilian culture. A true ballet of madness for the body and the soul.

Filipe Dourado is a Brazilian composer and cavaquinist. Since 2001 he has performed in many concerts, recordings and radio and television appearances with artists such as Almir Guineto, Filó Machado, Sombrinha, Marina de La Riva and many others.

Caio Marcio Santos, a classically trained guitarist and composer, is part of a movement of contemporary Brazilian instrumental music developed in the Lapa district of Rio de Janeiro, where he has been collaborating and playing for more than 15 years with renowned artists such as Zé Paulo Becker, Yama du Costa, Tira Poeira, Nicolas Krassik, Bebê Kramer. He also accompanies great artists of the Brazilian popular culture such as Maria Bethãnia, Carlos Lyra, Daniel Jobim and Lenine.

Miguel Couto accompanies in Brazil several popular artists such as Adriana Calcanhoto, Luiz Melodia, Jards Macalé, Márcio Faraco, among others. Miguel is an inventive and eclectic drummer who always tries to mix elements of rock, jazz, samba and classical in each of his projects.
