Born to a musician father and a music lover mother, Amalya was named after the greatest Fado singer of all time, without her parents ever suspecting that this would seal their daughter's destiny with music. At the age of 4, she began to sing and soon began to learn the piano and guitar. Lulled by the pop and soul icons that we listen to every day at home, Amalya gradually forges her own artistic universe through power and emotion.

In 2008, she won the 1st place of the Sankofa Soul Contest in Paris and in 2012, she reached the semi-final of season 1 of The Voice. Since then, she has joined several musicals and TV shows including "Danse avec les stars", "Swinging Life", "The Black Legends", "Priscilla, folle du désert" as well as Franco Dragone's new revue at the Lido "Paris Merveilles" as a singer-dancer. In 2019, she is a finalist in the show "Destination Eurovision" with the trio The Divaz and becomes the musical director of Chris Marques' show "Alors en Danse?" on which she is also a performer. She also joined Kamel Ouali's revue "L'Oiseau Paradis" at the Paradis Latin

In 2021, Amalya creates the trio "Amalya and The Humming Birds" with Jeremy Morice and Mathyas VJ.  This power trio of a new kind revisits repertoires as different as varied to make you travel between power and sensitivity.
