For several years now, Géraldine Laurent has imposed her personality on the jazz world. A warm viola sound, a phrasing with very rhythmic cuts, a flamboyant lyricism, a commitment to improvisation that recalls great violists of jazz history, from Charlie Parker to Eric Dolphy. After the album "At Work" in 2019, she recorded her latest opus "Cooking" with Paul Lay, Yoni Zelnik and Donald Kontomanou, which will be Laureate "Album of the Year" at the Victoires du Jazz 2020.
