At the crossroads of jazz and electronic sounds, saxophonist Shauli Einav recalls the idols of his adolescence to create new, seductive music.

After six albums as a leader with exclusively acoustic instrumentation, Luxembourg-based Israeli saxophonist Shauli Einav explores more electronic and electric soundscapes. His music draws inspiration from both jazz and other genres. Einav seeks to revive the sounds he listened to in the 90s: the sound of British artists such as Jamiroquai, The Prodigy, Simply Red or David Bowie, medieval folk music and harmonies influenced by modern jazz.

"In a way, it's my homage to my teenage years, when I sought to bring jazz music to a wider audience, bridging the popular aesthetic of the younger generation with today's mainstream jazz."
