Homeland(s) is the fruit of a human and musical encounter, a project with original instrumentation that will see the light of day in 2019 around a repertoire of original creations.
The piano/guitar tandem is complementary and well-balanced, with an enveloping sound that's sometimes soft and caressing, sometimes rough and roaring, blending perfectly with the Indian tablas, which are both lilting and incisive.
This instrumentation opens up infinite horizons of sound textures, colors and rhythms, producing an organic music full of nuances and contrasts.
Strongly attracted by the delicate and singular sound of the tabla, by the rhythms (talas) and melodies (ragas) specific to traditional Indian music, these three musicians are developing a hybrid and mixed musical project, at the crossroads of jazz and Hindustani music.
