Wild, strong, free, these are words we could use to describe this project of Leonard Cohen's remakes, led by Lembe Lokk, a French-Estonian singer. Just two fantastic musicians (bass and clarinet), often seen in French pop and jazz scene, are playing along with her to make brand new versions of theses songs, that we can hear almost pure. A raw album, full of folk, jazz and pop influences, that makes these standards more alive than ever.
