Jean-Baptiste Loutte, a drummer with many varied and flourishing projects, returns with his "Gemini" project, in which he sings compositions from his solo album currently in the making. It is above all the need to sing that lies at the heart of the music presented this evening, the voice enabling him to create a special connection with the audience. Harmonically close to "modern" jazz, borrowing rhythms from Brazilian music, sometimes with the spirit of "classical" music and Broadway ballads, his compositions are a blend of all the drummer-singer's influences. As the tracks unfold, an inner, spiritual journey takes shape: "Energie", "My New Life", "3am" are all poetic moments to remember, describing moments in life, images, moods. Some covers too, in which he explores other musical universes, always connecting them with jazz, which is his heart music.
