Illyes Ferfera "Tchoukchouka" Quintet

The Franco-Algerian saxophonist Illyes Ferfera decides to gather a quintet of high flight, with around him the flower of the new Parisian generation.
Together, they navigate territories at the crossroads of multiple worlds: from ternary rhythms from North Africa (which Illyes Ferfera explores and diverts in his compositions), to the modes of Olivier Messiaen, through sounds directly inspired by the jazz scene New-Yorkie. A music full of freshness, rhythmic fineness and risk-taking.
These five are like five chefs behind their stove to concoct tasty tchoukchouka (mixtures) of musical flavors to taste with the ears.
