Espace Django

  • 4 Impasse Kiefer, 67100 Strasbourg, France

Hosted since January 2016 by the association BeCoze, the Espace Culturel Django Reinhardt is a concert hall created in 2010 in the Neuhof district of Strasbourg. A multidisciplinary platform, it also hosts a media library (managed by the city) and a music school (managed by the Social and Cultural Center of Neuhof).

"Art, link, meaning", it is under this leitmotif that BeCoze decided to lead its project. An artistic and cultural project coupled with a social and territorial project, to reach out to people and meet the many challenges that arise today. From the point of view of current music, its artists, its audiences, its industry. From the point of view of the neighborhood, its population, its actors, the sustainable transformation in which it has been engaged for several years.

The orientations defined all go in this direction: to multiply the channels of encounter with art, from the relationship with works to the experimentation of practices. Concerts, cinema appointments, exhibitions, conferences, residences, workshops, nursery ... Django's offer goes beyond this base of dissemination to integrate other functions - creation, structuring, cultural action, thus forming a artistic mix able to support the local scene and reach all audiences, whoever they are and wherever they come from, in a festive and benevolent spirit.
