Kévin Lazakis

Founded with the will to celebrate all the creative power of funk jazz of the seventies, Butcher Brown perpetuates it since the exploratory spirit and thus shapes its jazz-hop discourse by blurring the tracks with excursions soul and southern rock, jazz-funk, afrobeat, soul-jazz. Explosive orchestral suites that now turn into a captivating R&B fresco.

Big challenge for Kévin!! whose path oscillates between music school and self-taught learning. He joined the jazz musicology department of the Université Jean Jaurès and then in the jazz class of the C.R.R of Montauban, directed at that time by the saxophonist and composer David Haudrechy, where he obtained the DEM of jazz in 2014. Two years later, he was admitted to the DNSPM program at the Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood (C.M.D.L), where he studied with guitarist Pierre Perchaud.
Since then, he has lived in Paris and collaborated with Cheick Tidiane Seck, Stomy Bugsy, Alexandre Monfort, Etibar Asadli, Clélya Abraham, Emcee Agora, Lester Getz, Violet Indigo, Theorem of Joy, Joanne Radao… and surrounds himself to create different projects (Machineless, Anga Tafè, Aïteka).

Created in 2012, the #JazzDeDemain niche has given rise to a series of monthly and bimonthly residencies, allowing young artists to experience the scene, to prowl a repertoire, while presenting it to the public. A promising and promising niche where creativity and emulsion have no limits. #SoyezCurieux!
