PRIORITY TO PROFESSIONNAL
Pannonica is the story of this incredible woman, born around midnight in some jazz club of the Big Apple. Nica de Koenisgwarter is the «baroness of jazz». She has worked all her life with African-American jazz musicians, providing them with unwavering support for nearly thirty years. At a time when segregation was destroying the freedoms of some to strengthen those of others, Pannonica was where nobody expected it, defying all prejudices. This aristocratic white woman, from the Rothschild family, dedicated her life to jazz and to the musicians she cherished so much. A story musically told by the Zoot Octet and Nathalie Dessay.
