The Prophets

After concerts and tours in Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia with Joe Zawinul, Manu Dibango, Salif Keita, Ray Charles and John McLaughlin, he returns with the Prophets, bringing together the finest young instrumentalists who are committed to transcending traditions and cultures with a universal musical sweetness. With this line-up, he puts his own personal favourites to the fore, inviting gifted youngsters, today's rising stars and tomorrow's big names into his band. Étienne sees them as "prophets" capable, in the form of musical prophecy, of revealing forgotten or hidden truths about the primary role of music as a vehicle for the values of freedom, sharing and love... These seven virtuoso musicians, giving free rein to improvisation, invite us to sing, dance, vibrate, love and celebrate life.
