Born in Abidjan, raised in the West Indies, Malik wonders about his place in the concert of African cultures. No citizen of the world can avoid this irrepressible urge to celebrate his heritage. Malik Mezzadri has done this work of remembering, but it was a chance exchange in the Paris metro that illuminated his destiny. Malik realized that his identity was not necessarily linked to his native land. His idiom became his culture and determined his existential choices.
