Bernier Quartet

For their new quartet project, brothers Pierre and Simon Bernier bring together guitarist Simon Martineau and double bassist Gabriel Midon. The group's main playground is Pierre's compositions, whose universe is partly inspired by the New York scene of recent decades (Ambrose Akinmusire, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Mark Turner, Paul Motian...) as well as by the harmonic refinements of early 20th-century French music.
