It is always with the same uniqueness and elegance that singer Julia Sarr journeys through her time and continues her quest for an unburdened Wolof song, free from all traditional constraints. She never tires of singing about love, faith, immigration, childhood, and the condition of women. On this new album, she merges with pianist and producer Fred Soul, and the beauty of Africa embodied by Julia Sarr is then draped in the sophisticated sounds of a Fender Rhodes.
