In just a few years, Antonio Lizana has become a key figure on the new flamenco jazz scene. A pure flamenco singer and virtuoso saxophonist, he is a total artist with an Andalusian heart and an improvisational soul. He presents Vishuddha, "purity", an album inspired by the soundscapes of his childhood and his home town of Cadiz, carried by powerful lyrics that bear witness to his genuine personal commitment. On stage, accompanied by his quintet, his songs, jaleos, dances, solos and palmas transport us into a veritable trance, where body and spirit are in celebration, and where jazz and joy become one.
