Les Poissons Voyageurs

Every Tuesday from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., Chez Georges welcomes the Alex Swing Events collective, which offers a varied and quality program, following a repertoire of swing / gypsy jazz, the music of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli, and many others!

Chez Georges is a very pleasant wine bar on rue des canettes, with a magnificent vaulted cellar in the basement, transformed on Tuesday into a gypsy jazz club!

The Franco-Canadian collective of Poissons Voyageurs was born one day in spring 2008, from the wandering spirit of a surfer-translator-interpreter, who wishes to convert to limitless travel and the double bass.

This is how he brings together a white truck, some 27 musicians who will take their places there in turn, and a repertoire that collectors of oral tradition would envy, for more than 10 years of travel.

Inspired by Moldovan taverns, Ukrainian border posts and the volcanic landscapes of the Canary Islands, Les Poissons voyageurs gather and compose a repertoire that resembles their lives: a nice handful of humor in a good dose of lovingly crafted music, with swing and balkan accents
