Thursday April 25: "Mega Mass" Trio

The three rising stars of the Berlin scene obviously draw their inspiration from the Paul Motian Trio, but also from very varied aesthetics, ranging from Arvo Part or Nirvana.
Improvisation placed at the center of its paradigm, Mega Mass produces a prodigious energy, difficult to imagine for a trio without bass. This absence allows the three musicians exceptional rhythmic, harmonic and textural flexibility, which they deploy with skill to navigate between different paintings.
