Rémi PANOSSIAN TRIO

THE UNSTOPPABLE FRENCH JAZZ TRIO THAT HAS TAKEN THE WORLD BY STORM

In a seamless blend of musical prowess and camaraderie, pianist Rémi Panossian's trio stands out as a force to be reckoned with in contemporary jazz, following in the footsteps of trailblazing groups like E.S.T and The Bad Plus and shaking up the eternal piano-bass-drum combo. Their guiding principle? To channel their skill and artistry into the purest essence of music: emotion.

Having graced stages across the globe with over five hundred performances and received praise for their five critically acclaimed albums, the three enfants terribles revel in sharing their infectious joy of making music together. With a penchant for musical mischief, melodic lyricism, intoxicating grooves, and a dash of pop sensibility, they delight in defying genre conventions.

Making their festival debut, they will be presenting pieces from their upcoming album—a rare and exhilarating opportunity not to be overlooked!

OBRADOVIĆ-TIXIER DUO

THE ELECTRIFYING DUO AND ITS COMMUNICATIVE ENERGY

The "Obradović - Tixier duo," comprised of French pianist David Tixier and Croatian drummer Lada Obradović, has rapidly risen to prominence, amassing a dozen awards these last few years.  Cue the piano, drums, keyboards, loops, and sound effects…before Lada Obradović's explosive drumming style for a delightful experience. His incisive precision and groovy touch, perfectly complements David Tixier's nuanced piano playing, which delicately shapes the musical space with swirling harmonies. Let yourself be swept by an improvisation marked by a hypnotic bass synth loop pattern, and you will hear the ghost of Bach, for the duration of a fugue.

Their fourth album, "A Piece of Yesterday," weaves together nine captivating musical stories narrated through their diverse sonic landscapes, blending elements of electronica, acoustic music, jazz, pop, classical, and trip-hop genres. "A Piece of Yesterday" also introduces audiences to the fictional character of Ehrmo, whose adventures unfold alongside each piece of music.

A cinematic saga with subtle nods to be experienced urgently.
