David Tixier Trio Feat David Linx

Pianist David Tixier, the winner of the 2019 La Défense Jazz Festival competition, is releasing his new trio album entitled “Because I Care”. He invites singer David Linx as a guest on three tracks, and performs alongside Lada Obradovic on drums (Netflix series “The Eddy”) and Jérémy Bruyère on double bass. After a first album that was recorded in New York, released in 2018, with guests Mike Moreno and Sachal Vasandani, the trio has a new album in store for us following the trajectory initiated from the start; full of life-experienced stories poured into music. The eponymous title “Because I Care” stands out; it is telling a story inspired by the character of Icarus, from Greek mythology, and taking us into the maze of a complicated life, from which the only way out seems to be the flight towards a salutary sun.
