Aurel Violas Trio

Born in French countryside, drummer and composer Aurel Violas lived successively in Paris, Brussels and Philadelphia before settlling in Amsterdam, where he surrounded himself with musicians from all around Europe. With dutch pianist Jetse De Jong and german bass player Daniel Nagel, the trio interprets Aurel Violas's compositions and arrangements, a blending of jazz tradition and his own personal voice. The result is a lively and organic music, putting interaction and rhythmical boldness in the foreground. A multitude of details combines itself into a flowing and energetic whole, inviting the audience to a careful listenning, but also to elaborate its own mental pictures.
