Alice & Cécile "The French Twins"

Alice & Cécile were first spotted in some New York jazz club on the occasion of a stay across the Atlantic. On their return to France, both talented twin sisters were then soon taken charge of by the guitarist and producer Patrick Saussois, who made them record their very first album «All you need is a song» - 5 cover versions and 6 original compositions - under the DJAZ Records label in Paris. With their undeniable charm and their deceptively «Young Girls of Rochefort» - like appearance (in reference to the 1960s film composer Michel Legrand), the two young singers reinvent a Frenchstyle vocal jazz which combines, with both lightness and voluptuousness, jazz standards and French or international songs, swing and cleverness of the lyrics, flavours of Brazilian music and cross chord adaptations. Alice & Cécile thus pleasantly reconcile jazz lovers with the general public, in the same way as Claude Nougaro or, in his time, Henri Salvador among other prestigious artists.
