Gabriel Bismut & Maurizio Minardi

French violinist Gabriel Bismut and Italian accordionist-pianist Maurizio Minardi use jazz as a meeting space for the music of their countries of origin. Their music is influenced by tango and Latin waltzes, jazz and baroque music. Their repertoire, which is presented as a duet, trio or quartet, consists mainly of their original compositions and is complemented by their arrangements of classic themes by Nino Rota, Richard Galliano, and Jacques Brel. The first album of their quartet, recorded under the artistic direction of Marc Berthoumieux, has been released in Dec 2020.
