Yannick Benoit Quartet

After recently winning the soloist award at The Sunside trophees in Paris, Yannick Benoit will perform on stage at The Sunside for the first time. As a connoisseur in Jazz standards and inspired by ethnic jazz artists such as Pharoah Sanders and Ysef Lateef, he plays a rich and subtle musical repertoire. His use of unusual instruments like gongs, didgeridoos or Jew's harps combined with Mongolian biophonic singing brings richness of beat and carries the audience into a world of different sounds. The band will be composed of Jean Baptiste Loutte at the drums, Slim Chikhaoui at the bass and Sylvain Le Ray at the piano. They are all young talented artists performing on the Parisian jazz stage.
