Dominique Lemerle Quartet

Subsequent to the release of his album « This Is New », Dominique Lemerle will be hosting his quartet at the Parisian jazz club The Sunset. The band is composed of guitarist Michel Perez, pianist Manuel Rocheman and drummer Tony Rabeson. All four players are fellow music travelers who actually followed parallel paths along the years, and so this is the first time they will all be united on the same project. They will offer innovative interpretations to classic standards (Kurt Weill, Richard Rogers…) and to more recent ones also (Jim Hall, Bill Evans…), all in a spirit of openness and dialog that will allow their great complicity to thrive. Though double-bassist Dominique Lemerle has accompanied many greats such as Roy Haynes, Chet Baker, Johnny Griffin, Jimmy Gourley to name a few and recorded many albums as sideman along his 40 year career such, this is his first production under his own name… This Is New !
