Marta Sierra & Yorgui Loeffler

The project that will be presented at Sunset Sunside is the album "C Jam Blues", recorded with Yorgui Loeffler in Barcelona (studio Micro-cosmos produccions): On the album "C Jam Blues", Marta collaborates with the famous guitarist of Strasbourg gypsy jazz Yorgui Loeffler. Accompanied on rhythm guitar by the guitarist's son, Magnio Loeffler, and by Parisian double bassist David Gousset, the two exchange scorching bravura, creating magical and musical conversations in a fantastic album of fourteen swing-style tunes. They play the well-known Elllington tunes "C Jam Blues" and "It Don't Mean A Thing", but also Morgan Lewis' "How High the Moon". They also incorporate more modern gypsy jazz tunes from the 1950s and into the 1970s, such as Tchan Tchou Vidal's 'Dolores' waltz, Luiz Bonfá's ballad 'Black Orpheus' and 'Swing Gitan' (anonymous).
