Kavita Shah

Acclaimed American jazz vocalist/composer Kavita Shah returns to the Sunside for an intimate evening of duos with the magnetic pianist Pierre de Bethmann. Kavita’s original projects blending modern jazz, contemporary music, and folk traditions include “Visions” (2014), “Folk Songs of Naboréa” (2017), and “Interplay” (2018), in duo with François Moutin, which was nominated for France’s Victoires de la Musique for Jazz Album of the Year. At the Sunside, Kavita and Pierre will share their unique connection in conversation across jazz standards and original compositions.
