Vincent Herring & Eric Alexander Quintet

Vincent Herring and Eric Alexander are two of the most renowned saxophonists worldwide. They have been on the New York jazz scene since the late 1980s playing with Jazz Masters such as Nancy Wilson, Horace Silver, Freddie Hubbard, Art Blakey, Jimmy Cobb, Charles Earland, Louis Hayes & Cedar Walton. In their latest project „The Battle“ they are reviving the tradition of saxophone battles. Prominent examples of these cutting contests would be Dexter Gordon/Wardell Gray or Gene Ammons/Sonny Stitt. Special guest Mike LeDonne is regarded as one of the leading pianists and organists in the jazz world. His versatile and swinging style has led him to engagements with Benny Goodman, Sonny Rollins, Benny Golson and Milt Jackson.
