Sam Amidon & Richard Sears

Sam Amidon is a prominent songwriter and fiddler who keeps alive the Americana tradition in a most personal fashion. Sam’s worked with Bill Frisel, Jason Moran and Jacob Collier among others and released three albums on Nonesuch reinventing stories of the first American pioneers. he invites pianist Richard Sears, a newcomer on the Parisian scene, blending blues and abstraction, who recently wrote the soundtrack for the TV series « Icon of French Cinema ». They are joined by two songwriters and much in demand sidemen : Matteo Bortone on bass, Guilhem Flouzat on drums for a night of heart wrenching tunes tunes and free improvisation.
